 Term Java language
 Definition  Programming language and computing platform released by Sun Microsystems in 1995. Java applicationa are able to run on many application environments, computers, handheld devices, and operating systems without altering Java source code or recompiling. C# is designed to run only on Windows .NET platforms. Java source code looks almost identical to C# source code, but the actual implementations vary. The Java system is a direct competitor of the .NET Framework and the C# and J# languages.
