 Term Computer-Based Training
Definition  CBT is a type of education in which the student learns by running training programs on a computer. Typically, the programs comprise a multimedia DVD-ROM or CD-ROM and associated software. Originally called CAI (Computer-Assisted Instruction), the growth of CBT was hampered by the huge resource requirements both for creation and for execution. Today, PC-based CBT using optical media is a viable and effective training option.
