 Term COM+
Definition  Evolutionary development of the COM and DCOM software architectures. COM+ simplifies design and construction of component-based, distributed, and transactional applications with multi-tiered architectures. COM+ features many services—e.g., Just-in-Time Activation, object pooling, Microsoft Transaction Server (MTS). The .NET Framework should—eventually—supplant COM, DCOM, and COM+.
